Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 series, set to debut in two weeks, has been making waves with leaks and speculations. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, a standout in the lineup, will feature rounded corners and a built-in S Pen. However, recent reports suggest a controversial change: the S Pen will no longer include Bluetooth functionality, eliminating key features.

What’s Changing?

According to leakster Ishan Agarwal, who cited retail insiders, the removal of Bluetooth will mean the end of Air Actions, a feature that allowed users to control their phones with S Pen gestures.

Features Affected by This Change:

  • Photo Controls: A single press for taking photos and a double press for switching cameras will no longer be available.
  • Air Actions: Tasks like switching apps (Back, Home, Recent) or using Smart Select by waving the S Pen like a magic wand will be removed.

These remote control features have been a staple across Samsung’s flagship devices, including the Galaxy Tab S7 to S10, the Note series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy S phones since 2021.

Why Is Samsung Dropping Bluetooth?

Samsung has not officially commented on this decision, but industry speculation suggests it could be tied to the redesign of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The rounded corners make room for a slightly smaller S Pen, which may have influenced this feature reduction.

Potential Impact on Users

Removing Bluetooth features could disappoint some Galaxy Ultra users who rely on the S Pen’s advanced functionality, possibly discouraging upgrades to the S25 series. That said, Samsung likely has data on how frequently these features are used and may justify the change as part of broader design enhancements.

With the official reveal just around the corner, fans eagerly await Samsung’s explanation for this decision and any new features the Galaxy S25 Ultra might bring to offset the loss.
